BIOGRAPHY

London-based and a dedicated practitioner since 2000, Divya has been a full time senior level teacher since 2006, offering drop-in classes, retreats, courses and bespoke tuition. HER AIM IS TO HELP THE INDIVIDUAL ON THEIR PATH AND DEVELOP CONNECTION WITH LIKE-MINDED SOULS.

Her inspiration is drawn from eastern sources OR YOGA AND MEDITATION as well as modern psychological thought. Her own teacher training spans the strong discipline of classical Indian yoga and BUDDHIST meditation traditions, as well as the evolved approaches to the body and mind in the West.

A former newspaper journalist, and with a Masters in English Literature from Cambridge University, Divya has a continued deep passion for writing and using words like we use the breath in yoga: as a way to connect deeply.

Emily and Matt welcomed us onto the retreat with a lovely snack and a little tipple and from that point on I knew I'd landed in a good place. We were very much looked after, with excellent food (far better than I'd expected) and great company from our hosts, they couldn't do enough for us! The house was amazing, I loved the pool and the dining area and the lovely gardens but, importantly, the yoga room was just perfect for our yoga sessions (which were also fantastic). The atmosphere was welcoming and warm and there was plenty of opportunity to interact with the other guests and lots of space if I wanted some quiet time. I would highly recommend a holiday hosted by Emily and Matt!"
