This house is perfect for families and group bookings. It is well equipped with a beautiful kitchen and a decked area with barbeque and pizza oven. There are two handmade wooden tables each seating 15+ overlooking the infinity pool and the grounds.
There is wifi, Sky TV and a pool table, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor entertaining. There is plenty of room for a game of football to let off steam before relaxing by the pool with wonderful views.
There is easy access to the beach and all the other great attractions the Vendee has to offer, for example, the great attraction park of Puy du Fou.
There are some beautiful walks locally ‒ stroll through the wood to get to L'Hermenault where all amenities are available or visit Mervent forest for adventure sports and boating.

A few hundred metres from the house, we have access to a private lake, which has 30lb carp to be fished. Arrangements must be made in advance.
There are also the beautiful cities of La Rochelle and Les Sables d'Olonne on the coast, which deserve a visit.
The desirable destination of Il de Re is close by with lots to offer in the way of shopping, thalassotherapy spas, restaurants, boat trips, superb beaches, and so on.
Mervent has many attractions ‒ the Pierre-Brun amusement park, a Zip-wire park, kayaking, canoeing, pedalos and boating, a zoo, mountain biking and many delightful walks.
Vouvant is listed as one of the top 10 most beautiful villages in France and is well worth experiencing. There are many artists' studios open in the summer as well as an incredible church dating back to the 11th century. Walk along the river under the ramparts or take a pause in one of the lively bars and restaurants.

L’Hermenault is situated in the Vendée (Pays de la Loire region) in the west of France, 61 km from La Roche-sur-Yon, the department capital. At 3 km, this is the closest village with all amenities such as post office, cash point, boulangerie and village shop.
The village of Saint Martin des Fontaines is 2 km away and a lovely walk or bike ride away where you can find a welcoming, child-friendly bar/pub open Tues‒Sun for lunch and dinner (reservation recommended for large numbers).
There are various golf courses to visit within roughly an hour of the property, including La Rochelle, Les Sables d’Olonne and Niort.

Really great holiday, we were really relaxed the whole stay, great weather so the pool got used a lot! The house is amazing we were in awe from the moment we arrived, the kids were never bored as there was plenty to do. Matt and Emily left us some local wines to taste which prompted us to go to the local vineyard where we bought more of it and had a great time in the process. What can I say it was simply a fantastic holiday from the minute we arrived to the moment we left. The house is amazing and been really nicely done throughout, there was 20 of us in total but you wouldn't have known as the house is enormous. The kitchen is massive and really well equipped for foodies like myself. Then you get outside where we spent a lot of time and you are blown away with the breathtaking views and absolutely stunning infinity pool. There were some great restaurants and the Mervent forest which was nearby was immense. I would highly recommend this property and will be booking there again in the future. Very sad to leave!
